Children cannot seem to find their socks, but they can spot a sneaky onion from a mile away’.
Annabel Karmel delivered a thought provoking and interactive talk for the Dukes Club, covering all sorts of issues from picky eating teenagers, to meal refusing toddlers, and everything in between.
Annabel talked us through how to pack fruit and vegetables into delicious meals and treats, and spoke about the importance of getting children involved in meal preparation and empowering them to develop healthy habits for the future.
There were lots of questions from parents in the session including an interesting conundrum from a parent of a three-year-old who cannot have any sugar due to dietary issues. Annabel suggested lots of tasty treats and recipes that can be found through her app, website, and instagram.
She also told the audience that one third of people die from a diet related disease, so it is more important than ever that we start to develop healthy relationships with food at an early age. Having recently launched her own catering company specifically for nurseries, Annabel has thousands of recipes geared towards toddlers and little ones that can be found in her fun and creative books.
Finishing up the session, Annabel invited the attendees to contact her on instagram with any questions they may have, and to share pictures with her if they try out any of her recipes.
