Holiday fun with Dukes Study Club
Maths wizard Jacob Conway led a group of Dukes Club children on a free holiday activity at our event space in Pimlico this week. Together they explored maths shapes and numerical sequences in a fun and interactive environment - a fantastic way to keep up their learning over the summer. Students worked with enthusiasm and concentration throughout the morning and enjoyed being introduced to new mathematical concepts. The focus was on problem solving and pattern recognition, and students learnt how to add up the numbers from 1 to 100 quickly, how to find any number in a sequence, how to break down challenging problems using diagrams and investigated different aspects of polygons including angles, diagonals and area.
There is more to come from Dukes Study Club over the coming weeks including online activities, drop-in surgeries and 3 additional children's events in Pimlico. Visit our events page for more information.
